Greg Wood is an English actor, who portrayed dangerous loan shark Rick Neelan on a recurring basis from November 2009 to February 2010, May to June 2012 and then finally from March to June 2019. He returned to the role in September 2022 as a hallucination of Rick.

He appeared in the soap Brookside from 2002 to 2003 as a series regular as Terry Gibson.

He appeared in soap Hollyoaks as villain Trevor Royle from 2013 to 2016.

Pre-Corrie[]

Greg Wood's first known television appearance was in Brookside, which he appeared in as Terry in 2002. He also appeared in the role again in the 2003 video Brookside: Unfinished Business. He made other small television appearances such as Casualty 1907, Emmerdale and The Courtroom.

Coronation Street (2009-2010, 2012, 2019)[]

Greg joined Coronation Street in 2009 as ruthless loan shark Rick Neelan, a role which he would play on and off for nearly a decade. The character was brought in originally for the exit of Joe McIntyre, with Wood departing from the role in February 2010, three months since his debut.

Wood returned as Rick in 2012, in which he faced off with Terry Duckworth, Tommy Duckworth and the late Joe McIntyre's daughter Tina McIntyre. He appeared on-screen for a month, before Rick was finally arrested and charged, presumably ending his villainous reign for good.

But alas, Wood reprised the role for a final stint in 2019 for a period of three months. This time his villainous alter-ego began harassing Gary Windass, as by this point Tina was now dead and Tommy and Terry were long off the radar. But the character met his permanent end when he was killed by Gary and buried out in the woods.

In-between Coronation Street stints[]

After departing Corrie in 2012 Wood joined the cast of Hollyoaks in a new villain role, this time Trevor Royle. He appeared in the part from 2013 to 2016 as a regular. He appeared in an episode of Casualty in 2018, and in the The A List that same year.

After Coronation Street[]

There are no television or film credits to Greg Wood as of yet following his departure from Coronation Street in 2019.
