Barrington "Barry" Connor was a recurring character in Coronation Street from 2008 to 2015. He is the father of Paul Connor, Liam Connor and Michelle Connor. Barry is played by Frank Grimes.

Backstory[]
Barrington Connor was born in Ireland in about 1945 to Rory Connor and his wife. He met and married Helen Connor (Nee Kerrigan) and they married in 1968. Shortly after, they moved to England and settled in Weatherfield, a suburb of the city of Salford next to Manchester. Barry's father's cousin already lived in Weatherfield in the 1960s and was the father of Johnny Connor. Johnny and Barry being 2nd cousins.
2008-2009[]
Barry along with his wife Helen arrived on Coronation Street for the wedding of Liam to Maria Sutherland in February 2008. After the wedding they returned to Ireland.
In October that year they returned after Liam was killed in a hit and run incident during the stag night of Tony Gordon. In December, the pair celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary.
In July 2009 Barry and Helen arrived to see their grandson Liam Jr. after Maria had given birth. They weren't pleased when Maria grew close to Tony and started a relationship with him. They returned for the anniversary of Liam's death, and Liam Jr's christening and accepted that Maria was now engaged to Tony. But it was revealed Tony was actually behind Liam's death and he was imprisoned. A devastated Maria later accepted Barry and Helen's offer to come and stay with them in Ireland. Maria would remain there for a few months, and eventually returned to Weatherfield in July 2010.
2013 & 2015[]
After Barry had an affair he returned to Weatherfield. When Michelle discovered the truth, she brought her father back to Ireland to sort it out with Helen.
In 2015 a reconciled Barry and Helen arrived for Michelle's wedding to Steve McDonald.
